We make extensive use of our modern 25 metre, 5 lane, heated indoor swimming pool.

Children from the age of 4 years enjoy weekly swimming lessons as part of the standard curriculum.  Our swimming instructor is fully qualified and adept at encouraging even the most nervous beginners to start to swim.  They soon become proficient swimmers and then it becomes a struggle to get them out of the water!  

As they develop their swimming skills, we teach the pupils a variety of strokes and games like water polo become possible.    

We also have extra curricular swimming clubs and there are regular swimming galas against other schools, along with inter-house competitions.  

Naturally we have comprehensive life-saving arrangements and a number of staff have been specially trained.
