A good prep school is known for the breadth of its extra-curricular programme as well as for its academic results, pastoral care and sporting standards.  At York House we have traditionally offered an extremely wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs, along with an exciting programme of outside trips for every year group.

The aim is to develop fully rounded individuals with broad general knowledge, interesting experiences they can enthuse about and wide-ranging interests that set them apart from those with a narrower education.  All this strengthens the children's confidence and makes them more attractive candidates when they come to be interviewed by their senior schools.  As a leading prep school, York House has always been known for developing highly motivated children who have added breadth and are able to take full advantage of all that the leading senior schools can offer.
