Pre-Prep starts in Nursery, then children join Reception Followed by Y1 and Y2 before Middle School starts which is Y3-Y5 with the final York House journey ending in Upper School with Y6-Y8.

Girls and Boys can start at York House in the school term they turn three, so our youngest pupils are typically 2yrs 9months when starting. Children stay in our nursery until they enter the Reception year, for some children that is two years and others just a year, depending on birth month. Children are challenged and support and learning is planned for the individual and their next steps.

Children participate in Hartbeebs, Playball in addition to free-flow learning based on the EYFS curriculum, with a core focus on literacy and numeracy skills.

The school is set in 47 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, providing extended grounds for exploring.

We look forward to welcoming you and showing you what makes York House a great start for your child.
