Pre-Prep continues from Nursery into Reception Followed by Y1 and Y2 before Middle School starts which is Y3-Y5 with the final York House journey ending in Upper School with Y6-Y8.
Our Pre Prep gives children a solid foundation in the core curriculum focusing on giving everychild a tool kit of learning to take with them for life. Daily reading, Phonics sessions, handwriting and Literacy lessons are supported with daily Maths lessons and Oral number work to build maths fluency. This important lessons sit within the broad and balanced curriculum, allowing children to excel in core subjects as well the arts; Drama, Music and Art, Languages; French, Humanities and in physical activity: Swimming, PE and Games and Computing is taught weekly from Reception.

Pupils may also participate in our co-curricular programme with over 90 clubs across the school there is always something for everyone.
The Pre Prep children play in a well equipped play area called The Orchard with both grass and astro. 
Each Form is supported by a  teaching assistant and our class sizes sit typically at 18. Due to our small classes every individual is continually monitored and assessed and if appropriate extra support or extention and guidance can be provided.
