Our programme of Residential Trips runs from Years 4 to 8, progressing each year in both duration and level of challenge.
Year 4 have a short trip to a relatively local centre while Year 5 spend slightly longer in the woods on a beautiful Oxfordshire estate.
Year 6 travel to a PGL centre and Year 7 venture over seas to a château in France.
This culminates in a highly adventurous 7-day trip for our Year 8’s in the glorious wilderness of Sutherland, Scotland. The sleeper train carries us to Inverness and then we continue 2 1/2 hours north-west to the Ridgway Adventure School for a week of challenging activity.
The level of challenge is deliberate, building confidence and resilience ready for their more Senior Schools. The pupils engage in a variety of skills and taks such as climb a mountain, sea kayak, orienteer, rock climb, learn to build shelters and cook ‘wild food’.
