The York House Book Club started in September 2014, we enjoyed a great first year, meeting as a mix of about 14 YH parents (and some staff) to discuss a new book.
The books we try to select create interesting discussions that try to take the group beyond the pages of the book.
New members are always welcome (in any capacity) some people will read along but cannot make every session, some will pop in to a book they want to enjoy and others will come to every session. There are no hard & fast rules.
This academic year (2015 – 2016) the YH book club has read:
Leaving Microsoft to Change the world by John Wood,
The Girl on the train by Paula Hawkins
Graham Norton’s autobiography
A Christmas Cracker by Trisha Ashley
My life on the road by Gloria Steinem
The current book is ‘The Go-Between’ by L.P.Hartley and will be discussed on the 19th May 2016 and we will be meeting at the Artichoke, please email Mrs Gray on email@example.com if you wish to attend.
