Form 2 have recently been to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor, the Hare Krishna temple in Aldenham Hertfordshire. This trip links to the children’s RE work this term. They were made to feel very welcome at the temple and responded well to the calm serene atmosphere.
The children asked very perceptive questions and fully immersed themselves in the day's activities; enjoying dressing up as Hindu warriors, riding on a bull cart, having their faces painted and witnessing the worship in the temple. They sampled vegetarian food for their lunch. The children’s enthusiasm has shown how much they valued this day!
