Welcome to York House School, a leading independent co-educational preparatory school for boys and girls in Hertfordshire.

Selecting the right school is one of the most important decisions you can ever make for your children, which is why we joined York House School. For my wife Emma and our two young sons and daughter, York House School is now both our home and our own children’s future. We feel honoured and excited to be here and about the journey ahead.

York House School has a family-friendly atmosphere in a traditional school setting in 47 acres of countryside, combined with a modern and ambitious approach to teaching, and a renowned reputation for developing all pupils who excel in a variety of subjects and disciplines, with an impressive standard of pastoral care.

A passionate aim of ours is to use and develop the unique countryside setting of the school to educate pupils with new life-skills and knowledge. York House offers a very high quality of education within a curriculum that includes both time and space – rare commodities in modern day life. Great emphasis is placed on offering motivating, fun and inspiring school trips, events and activities through the School to ensure and support this development.

We offer a warm invitation to you to visit the school at a time of your choosing to meet us and see the school for yourself. Once you have, you will understand why we chose York House School as well.

We look forward to meeting you.

Jon and Emma Gray
