The school, set in magnificent surroundings, has a long tradition of excellence and, with its broad-based curriculum, is designed to educate the children not only academically, but also socially and morally. We encourage early independence, a curiosity for knowledge and a healthy sense of competition in order to prepare our children for the changing world. The school is founded on Christian values but welcomes children of all faiths. Children can only reach their full potential if they are in a safe and supportive environment, and we encourage our pupils to respect adults and one another. Our pastoral system reinforces everything that is achieved at York House School and ensures that our education is an enjoyable experience. We value the support of the local community and pride ourselves on the special links that we have established over the years. As part of our contribution, the school organizes a host of fund raising and charitable activities, which teach the pupils to demonstrate citizenship and responsibility for those less fortunate than themselves.
