York House

We feel that the balance of space for the children to grow up in combined with quick links to London make York House School a prime location.

York House is situated in a beautiful site with 50 acres that all the pupils enjoy, whether it be on the Mountain Biking track, feeding the rescue animals at break or looking at the pond as part of a Science lesson.

York House can be found in the close proximity of three stations on the Metropolitan Line (Croxley Green, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth), which is also a Mainline station with the Chiltern Flyer (which takes no more than 25 minutes) into London Marylebone. Watford Junction station with regular fast trains (under 20 minutes) into Euston is around a 15-minute drive away. The school operates pre and after school care from 0730 until 1800 each day, supported by after school clubs and hot tea options.

We are incredibly fortunate to have so much space yet remain close to excellent transport links to make commuting to London a natural part of the school drop off.

People often ask where the pupils at York House travel from each day and where the majority of our parents live. The answer is quite varied, we have some families that live close enough to walk to school across some footpaths around the school from Croxley Green and Chandler’s Cross. However, the majority of our parents drive from surrounding towns, Rickmansworth, Hemel Hempstead and Watford, villages such as Sarratt, Chorleywood, Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles, Kings Langley, Abbots Langley, Chipperfield and hamlets such as Loudwater.

We look forward to showing you around our fantastic school.
