Pupils have Outdoor Learning as part of their core timetable with weekly lessons timetabled for Nursery, Y1, Y3, Y5 and Y7.
Outdoor Learning through clubs, expeditions and Campouts seeks to inspire, spark curiosity, challenge and improve social skills.
York House pupils will have a chance to participate in residential from year 3 upwards with every residential getting increasingly challenging and more remote.
The Outdoors is also one of the best places to learn about the School 3 principals of self-reliance, positive thinking and leaving people and places better than you found them.
The Farmers field, where the majority of activities take place York house has unrivalled facilities. These include a purpose-built Mountain Bike track, Small Holding area with a range of animals, woods and traversing wall with overhangs and more. The Meadows in the Farmers fields’ will capture the imagination of pupils, inspire, challenge and create memories for pupils at the School.
